What is a Push Present?

Push Gifts

Definition of a Push Present

A push present is a gift to the mother for going through many changes, going through extreme pains during labor and bringing a new life into the world. It is an expression of admiration and appreciation, normally from the husband to his wife.

Push gifts can be anything from a ring to a TV. Therefore, anything that a new mom can use can be given as a push present. Push presents aren’t reserved for husbands giving to the mother-to-be. Push presents can also be given by close family members and friends.

Although push presents are a relatively new term, it is definitely catching on so don’t let your wife and mother-to-be the only one amongst her friends who doesn’t receive a push present. Let her be the one who can show off her push present and show her friends that her husband really appreciates what she has gone through for the pregnancy of your child.

Why does a new mom deserve a push present?

Despite all the beautiful feelings birth brings to the new mom, it is not an easy thing to do. A woman goes through a number of changes and difficulties during her pregnancy. Weight gain, nausea, stretch marks, hair loss and skin problems occur during pregnancy.

Not only that, there’s the emotional stress as well which includes postpartum depression. Women bear all this for the sake of their children. They knowingly accept all these changes their bodies go through and do it for not just their children, but for their husbands and partners as well.

To show your appreciation for all their efforts, the least husbands and partners can do is to give the mother of your children a push present. You buy them a gift for their birthdays and for Christmas. Why not get them a push present for one of, if not the, most important and difficult time of their life?

Why else does a new mother deserve a push gift?

The greatest gift of motherhood is becoming a mother itself but every new mama needs a little more attention during this life changing moment. The nine month period of having a baby grow inside her womb, hours of pain and sleeplessness during pregnancy isn’t easy.

What about all the prenatal appointments, blood tests, ultrasounds and doctor appointments she has to go through? What about the pain trying to push a big baby out or having her stomach cut open for a C-Section? Do you think she deserves to know your appreciation for going through all this and all the hard work she has done?

For all that she goes through in pregnancy, for giving birth and for taking care of baby the first few years of your baby’s life, a gift to show your token of appreciation and how thankful you are for bringing your child into the world is the least you can do.
